Material assistance may not be mandatory in times of need.
But when a neighbor’s or friend’s house burns down or is buried, rejoicing is a very specific behavior with a specific message.
Especially when it is publicly displayed on a daily basis.
It’s the same as saying, “…., that fire is pouring down on you, the important thing is that our sky is “clear.”
