"The Nikol-Aliyev tandem will use the peace treaty for Nikol's re-election." Artur Vanetsyan

Former head of the National Security Service of Armenia, Artur Vanetsyan, spoke about a number of issues during an appearance on the “Imnemnim” podcast. Referring to the expected peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, he said: “If there are no long-term security guarantees, talking about anything is pointless. I can confidently say that a peace treaty will not be signed.”

Vanetsyan is convinced that we will have elections at least in mid-2026. Pashinyan's previous theses in 2021 were: "Let's keep the rest of Karabakh, but there won't be a war. If Kocharyan or Vanetsyan are suddenly elected, they are revanchists, there will be a war. Vote for me so that I can ensure peace, and I'll give this cannon to the opposition."

In 2026, as Vanetsyan emphasized, according to all sociological surveys, Pashinyan has no chance of being re-elected. “The Nikol-Aliyev tandem will use the peace treaty to organize Nikol’s re-election,” he predicted, adding that the opposition’s task is to talk about it and present a clear program, to send messages to the villager, the doctor, the lecturer, the student and the rest about how they will live, what will happen after Nikol.
