The Tegh village community administration issued an official denial, which states:

“The Tegh community administration informs that the publication published by the “Aravot” newspaper does not correspond to reality.

According to Suren Amaryan, the people who approached him in the morning introduced themselves as employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross, while it later turned out that they were employees of the “Aravot” newspaper.

Mr. Amaryan also clearly stated that the incident presented in the publication occurred four years ago, and currently no attempt at penetration or similar incident has been recorded.

The sovereign borders of the Republic of Armenia are protected around the clock by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the border guards.

We call on you to refrain from spreading misinformation and follow only official information sources.”

Let us recall that “Aravot” reported that the deputy head of the Tegh enlarged community, Suren Amaryan, had stated: "Azerbaijanis want to advance near the Hakkari Bridge, but the Armenian border guards don't let them. There are no shots fired, just a verbal spat."
