"We will vote against the Aliyev-style Constitution," Anna Grigoryan, head of the "Armenia" faction, said in a conversation with journalists.
According to her, the agenda for constitutional amendments is not new; prior to the parliamentary elections, the authorities and the opposition presented mutually exclusive positions to the public.
"During the pre-election period, Nikol Pashinyan went to the people and said, 'Elect me, and we will change the Constitution.' We, for our part, said, 'If you elect us, we will not allow the Constitution to be changed.' The 'Armenia' faction cannot participate in a process that contradicts the promises it made to the voters. Therefore, this proposal is unacceptable to us, and we will vote against the Aliyev-style Constitution," she noted.
