What the current authorities achieved: Samvel Karapetyan from the penitentiary

Businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, who was detained for two months, has issued a statement through his legal team, the fifth part of which has now been published.

"What did the current authorities achieve?

The political arena has turned into a circus. The National Assembly has turned into a big fistfight ring. Unable to withstand objective criticism, especially from such strong female politicians as Anna Grigoryan, Kristine Vardanyan, Agnessa Khamoyan, Anna Mkrtchyan, Taguhi Tovmasyan and others, the small group, having no answer, from time to time throws itself into fistfights with politicians defending women.

I want to clarify what or who that small group is. It is the unruly, disrespectful wing of the Communist Party, which, at the slightest hint, is ready to destroy all the values of the country, to denigrate all the sanctities.

I am sure that there are decent people in that group, for whom all this is, to put it mildly, disgusting and unpleasant. I advise them not to be afraid, not to forget simple human values, not to become the cursed ones of the Armenian nation. It doesn’t take much, they just need to try to face our people, to say the words “I am Armenian” in front of the people.

Soon we will have internal solidarity together.
