The “Hraparak” newspaper writes: “The US State Department yesterday confirmed the news published by The Guardian, according to which the fund created for the implementation of the TRIPP project will be headed by Konstantin Sokolov, who is one of the new owners of “MTS Armenia” along with Chinese Zhe Zhang, who have specialized in buying, selling companies, concluding such transactions, as well as skilled managers of large companies. Sokolov is one of Donald Trump’s long-time sponsors, in particular, he invested $12 million in Trump’s pre-election campaign.
He is the founder of a number of investment funds, has held leadership positions in various companies.
But the most ridiculous thing is that he was born in 1975, in St. Petersburg, is Jewish by nationality, and met Nikol Pashinyan in 2024.”
