80% of traffic jams were caused by MTPL of cars with summer tires. Mayor Tigran Avinyan said this during a meeting of the Yerevan Municipality's administrative committee.

According to Avinyan, the main problem was in the Arabkir administrative district: due to a certain delay in the equipment, there was a fairly heavy traffic jam, and there were also traffic jams in other sections, but not so difficult to pass.

"The logic of the MTPL system is also problematic, when in the case of minor accidents people waited for hours and created kilometer-long traffic jams," he noted.
