Eight flights between Moscow and Yerevan have been delayed, two have been cancelled, and another three have been rescheduled for October 18. This is according to data from the online flight board at Zvartnots International Airport as of October 17.

Regarding arrivals from Moscow to Yerevan, one flight has been cancelled, four are delayed, and two have been rescheduled for Sunday, October 18. As for departures from Zvartnots to Moscow, one flight has been cancelled, four are delayed, and another has been moved to the following day.

These schedule disruptions are occurring against the backdrop of temporary operational restrictions at airports within the Moscow aviation hub. According to the Russian Ministry of Transport, findings from the operational headquarters at Sheremetyevo Airport indicate that 103 flights are experiencing delays in both departures and arrivals. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Transport Vladimir Poteshkin, with the participation of representatives from Rosaviatsia, Rostransnadzor, various airlines, and the capital's airports.

The Ministry of Transport stated that airports have been instructed to ensure that necessary conditions are in place for passengers to wait comfortably for their flights. The agency also noted that alternate (reserve) airports possess sufficient stocks of aviation fuel.

Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo airports suspended operations on the evening of October 16 and throughout the night into October 17. All four airports in the Moscow aviation hub resumed operations on Saturday at approximately 07:00.

According to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, 144 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted in the vicinity of the capital since the beginning of the day. Due to the threat of drone attacks, restrictions on airport operations led to schedule disruptions and also affected air travel between Moscow and Yerevan.
