The *Zhoghovurd* daily writes: "According to sources close to the authorities, investigations into a number of businesspeople—who conducted business activities during the tenure of the former authorities—may soon intensify.
Our sources indicate that law enforcement agencies are currently examining the activities of individuals who acquired land, constructed buildings on those sites, or carried out various business projects during the years the former authorities were in power.
According to these sources, some businesspeople have already been informed that law enforcement is verifying the legality of the acquisition of the land they own, as well as the circumstances under which their businesses were established and developed on those sites.
We have learned that if any violations are uncovered as a result of these inquiries, legal proceedings may follow." In such a case, the Prosecutor's Office may submit relevant claims regarding the restitution of assets of illicit origin or the alienation of land plots.
According to sources, the scope of these inquiries may also encompass businesspeople who, during the administrations of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, not only engaged in business activities but were also actively involved in political processes.
