In the Aragatsotn Province, a group of young men subjected a 13-year-old girl to sexual abuse through blackmail; there are individuals in custody.
On September 24, documentation was compiled at the Ashtarak division of the Community Policing Main Department (under the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs) regarding an incident that took place in a village in the Aragatsotn Province.
According to Shamshyan.com, citing operational information received by the Ashtarak police division, over the past 2–3 months, seven boys—students at a school in the Aragatsotn Province—engaged in sexual acts involving a 13-year-old girl. They sustained this behavior by blackmailing her.
Ashtarak police officers identified the individuals involved, located them, and—along with the compiled documentation—transferred them to the Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, where criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the incident.
