A 49-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of committing acts of a sexual nature.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, police officers located the victim and met with her; there, 30-year-old Yerevan resident K. Gh. reported that on September 27, around 6:00 PM, a man named Vrezh took her by car from Svachyan Street to the "Sasun" Hotel, where he subjected her to a sexual act involving violence.
Subsequently, they traveled to a village in the Ararat region, where the man again subjected her to sexual acts involving violence—first inside the car and then in the grass.
G. According to information obtained by Shamshyan, Yerevan criminal police officers, acting on intelligence, identified the individual as 49-year-old Yerevan resident Vrezh G. He was detained on October 5 on suspicion of committing violent sexual acts and was taken to the Yerevan City Department of the Criminal Police Main Directorate (under the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs).
He was subsequently transferred—along with the documentation regarding the incident—to the Masis Investigative Division of the Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
