NA Speaker Alen Simonyan has received information that the son of businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan allegedly beat someone.
"There is information in the press that Samvel Karapetyan's nephew beat someone in Yerevan and demanded 10 million euros," he announced and asked Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan whether the information was true and whether there was such a case.
Alen Simonyan said that the information was written by "Hetq" and that the incident allegedly occurred yesterday.
Vardapetyan said he needed to verify the information.
"I would really like you to publish such data after the break, if there is one," he said.
Note that the incident did not happen yesterday, but in 2019.
