Armenia is currently working on normalizing communications with Turkey and Azerbaijan. Nikol Pashinyan said this while speaking at the summit of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

“We are currently working on normalizing communications with Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as implementing trade projects that we will implement in the near future, in the coming months, and which will create additional potential for the use of the Caspian Canal, which will connect to the Persian Gulf and which will be beneficial for all countries in the region,” Pashinyan said.

He noted in his speech that in recent years, Armenia has established strategic relations with a number of countries and work is currently underway to document them.

“In recent years, Armenia has established strategic relations with Georgia, China, Kazakhstan, the USA, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, the UK, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania and the EU.

"Our relations with India and Iran are actually strategic in nature. We are now working on documenting them," Pashinyan added.
