Citizens welcome the demolition of illegal structures: "Zhoghovurd"

The “Zhoghovurd” daily writes: “In recent weeks, illegal buildings built years ago have been actively demolished in the center of Yerevan. The kiosks and outbuildings that remain from the “architectural heritage” are being removed one by one, giving way to passersby. Moreover, as a result of this process that has begun, almost no new illegal constructions are being carried out, fearing that they will be razed to the ground, like the illegal structures that have been standing in different neighborhoods for years.

According to various surveys, this initiative of Mayor Tigran Avinyan, as a change, has been noticed by the majority of citizens and is generally considered positive, with the sentiment that "the city is finally starting to clean up." Let's note that they are demolishing not newly built buildings, but those that have been forgotten for years."
