"Horizon" Camp: Viva's contribution to youth skills development

The last “Horizon” camp of this year is being held in the Marmarik community of Kotayk region from August 21-27. This initiative, launched in 2023, brings together young people from all regions of Armenia, as well as Javakhk. The goal of the program is to contribute to the development of skills of young people living in the region, the activation of regional life, the strengthening of national values, and the creation of inter-regional ties. The program is being implemented for the 13th time by the “Powerful Mind” public organization.

Viva is also alongside this important initiative aimed at promoting the development, education, and community involvement of young people. The company believes that everyone, regardless of their place of residence, should have equal opportunities to acquire new knowledge and discover their own potential.

“Viva values ​​programs that give children the opportunity to express themselves, discover their own potential, and participate in the development of communities. For us, this is not just a one-time support, but a long-term investment in the self-confidence, education and future of generations. These initiatives allow children to get out of their everyday environment, communicate with peers from different communities, acquire modern skills and form strong bonds. Such programs contribute not only to the development of the individual, but also to the strengthening of cooperation and solidarity between communities,” said Armen Avetisyan, General Director of Viva.

Lana Hakobjanyan, Viva’s leading digital marketing specialist, gave a lecture for the camp participants, who introduced the youth to the features of digital marketing and answered their questions.

“For us, the “Horizon” camp is not just a summer camp. The idea is to see in a young person not only a citizen of the future, but also a force for change today. The camp was created to shape that environment. Here we are not trying to tell young people what their future should be like. Instead, we are trying to give them tools, experience and people with whom they can find their own way. At Horizon, we want each participant to leave not only with new friends and memories, but also with one important question: “What can I do for my community, my environment, and my country?” said Mher Mkrtchyan, President of the Powerful Mind NGO.

About 80 young people are participating in the seven-day camp. During the seven days of the camp, various educational and developmental courses, national dance lessons, group work, and interactive games were held, aimed at discovering and developing the participants’ leadership, communication, and team skills.
