The “Hraparak” newspaper writes: “The election of the parliamentary leadership is almost over in the CP, the candidates for the NA Speaker, Vice Speakers, and the faction leader have already been selected, the positions of the faction secretary and the NA standing committee chairmen remain.
9 of the 12 standing committees, according to the Dont formula, go to the CP, 3 to “Strong Armenia,” and the “Armenia” bloc does not get the position of committee chairmen. Will the opposition take the positions, and the “strong ones,” following the example of 21, will cede the position of one committee chair to their junior colleagues?
The CP does not yet have an answer to the question. Moreover, they have not even decided whether they will take the positions or boycott them. And the issue of choosing committee chairmen in the CP has become a cause for heated discussions. Previously, the NA faction chose the candidacy of committee chairmen, this time there is talk that the administration will choose them.
There is a muted dissatisfaction in the CP that in the parliamentary system of government, parliamentarians are effectively deprived of the right to make decisions and are simply “backpackers.” By the way, although the Central Election Commission will issue the mandates of deputies at the end of the month, the opposition factions say that they have not elected either the faction leaders or the secretaries.
