RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message on Teacher's Day.

"Dear teachers,

I warmly congratulate you on Teacher's Day.

Being a teacher is not only a profession, but also a calling and a great responsibility. With your daily work, you build the foundations of our children's thinking and knowledge, instill a healthy mind and form a free and critical mind. Your duty and responsibility at school is not the mechanical transfer of knowledge, but through it, the creation of a system of values of freedom, dignity and morality of a person and citizen.

The civic consciousness of our children, that is, the core of society, their respect for statehood, and their sense of responsibility towards society largely depend on you.

It can be said that the teacher shapes the face of the future citizen and thus the future of the state.

I am also fully aware of the difficulties of your mission. Often you are called upon not only to educate, but also to confront difficulties when various influences or even certain systemic practices try to distract the teacher from his or her primary mission.

This is where your strength and patience are valued: being able to remain committed to education, maintain dignity, and continue to pass on to generations what the future of our country is built on.

Dear teachers,

I express my gratitude to you for your dedication and perseverance. I wish you good health, peace, and family happiness.

"May your work be crowned with success, and may your students become conscious, free-spirited, and dignified citizens, strengthening the foundations of our statehood," the message states.
