Why did the Azerbaijani state television company decide to spoil the one-year anniversary of August 8? Azerbaijan expert Tatev Hayrapetyan wrote about this.

“I thought, today, according to the announcements, is a year of “historical peace,” surely Azerbaijan, the state “AZ TV” television company, has prepared a series of peace programs about us. It turned out that they decided to spoil the theater of peace on this “dear” day and publish a report where they consider Syunik to be part of “Western Azerbaijan,” and that’s not enough, they also made a report with the following title: “35 years of longing. A village that resisted the enemy for 3 years...”

This one-minute material expresses the true nature of Azerbaijan’s policy: to consider Armenians as enemies, to have an eye on the Republic of Armenia, in short, to the point, the rest, unfortunately, is lyricism, and the price of self-deception is dear to us. Peace is not ignorance. Ignorance is not strength,” he noted.
