Today, November 6, 2025, at around 4:00 PM, the health condition of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, who was in Yerevan's "Kentron" penitentiary, has deteriorated sharply. Vardan Ghukasyan's lawyer, Zaruhi Postanjyan, wrote about this.

“The staff of the penitentiary immediately called for emergency medical assistance, and Vardan Ghukasyan was transferred to the “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center.

According to preliminary data, Vardan Ghukasyan is currently in the "Saint Grigor Lusavorich" Medical Center. The details of his health condition are being clarified.

Vardan Ghukasyan has been in detention for 18 days. Before that, the body conducting the proceedings and the court were informed about his health problems, but a decision was made to detain him anyway.

"Additional information about Vardan Ghukasyan's health condition and further actions will be provided as necessary," he wrote.
