The Republic of Armenia spares no effort to ensure that every school graduate is successful in life. Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan toured newly built schools in the republic, got acquainted with the work carried out and the created conditions. The schools were built within the framework of the Government's "300 schools to be built, renovated or reconstructed by 2026" program.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan, and heads of relevant regions and communities.

The Prime Minister's first stop was at the newly built senior school No. 139 named after Karen Demirchyan in the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan. It was built within the framework of the "Additional Financing for the Education Improvement Program" loan program, financed by the World Bank and the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The total cost was more than 2.8 billion drams. As a result, the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan has a newly built high school, which is equipped with the necessary laboratories, equipment and is designed for 600 students.

The Prime Minister congratulated those present on the occasion of the construction and opening of the school and considered it a great event for the education sector, the Government, and Yerevan. According to Nikol Pashinyan, the school construction program is also an educational program for the state and the Government, because they are learning to build a school in the 21st century. "The construction of the school is the first part of the problem, the further life and process of the school is the second, because now the question of what children should learn at school and what skills they should leave school with is being especially emphasized. This is perhaps the most important issue. Our perception is that at school children should acquire the skills necessary to live a prosperous life, but this does not solve the problem, because the modern world is changing a lot," said the head of state, adding that we must be flexible and respond to the situation with the right work.

According to the Prime Minister, as a result of the reform of the education system, opportunities should be created for children to adapt to changes in life.

Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the fact that everyone should understand how that school was built. The Head of State noted that it was built with the help of taxes paid by people to the state budget. In this context, the Prime Minister thanked all taxpayers and once again emphasized the importance of developing the culture of taking cash register receipts in the country.

Touching upon the issue of construction quality, Nikol Pashinyan added that it should be made a matter of principle - there will be no compromises regarding quality.

Addressing the students, the Head of State noted: “We want these spaces to be filled with content, starting with thoughts, because a platform is provided for you to create, work, understand life, discuss and develop. I am sure that you will use that platform.”Summing up, Nikol Pashinyan once again thanked the participants of the school construction program and wished everyone success: “It is very important that, in the person of this school, every student of other schools should record for themselves one thing: that their state, the Republic of Armenia, spares no effort and does everything in its power so that every school graduate is successful in life. It does not matter what they do, but they will be successful. What does successful mean? It means being able to ensure their own well-being through their own work, and this in turn means a higher level of well-being for the state. Everyone who creates well-being for themselves and is a law-abiding citizen will definitely benefit the state more from it, because they receive greater opportunities. We want you to be successful, because your success means a successful state, the Republic of Armenia.”

Next, Nikol Pashinyan visited Ararat region and attended the opening ceremony of a secondary school built in the Vanashen settlement of Vedi community. The school was built within the framework of the Asian Development Bank’s Seismic Safety Improvement Program, co-financed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The total cost of the project amounted to more than 2.5 billion drams. The new school is designed for 432 students.

Congratulating those present on the construction and opening of the school, Nikol Pashinyan once again expressed gratitude to all economic entities working in the Republic of Armenia, creating results and paying taxes prescribed by law, to all citizens issuing, requesting and receiving cash registers, because these programs are implemented as a result of their activities. According to the Prime Minister, the school should become an environment for children to develop and create, as well as prepare for a prosperous and successful life in the future, where they will acquire the skills to achieve any success they desire. “The most important skill that the education system should impart to our children is to adapt to life’s changes, because the faster life goes, the faster it will change, and it is very important that our children are able to change for the better in line with life. This is what school is for, this is what school is about, and this is also the reason why a main message is addressed to you at the entrance to the school: “Study well, so that you can live well.” The skills to live well are acquired first and foremost at school. We believe that we have provided the minimum conditions for this, everything else depends on you, and I wish you all success in preparing for your prosperous life today,” said Nikol Pashinyan.

In Armavir region, the Prime Minister attended the opening ceremonies of the educational complex in the Yeraskhahun settlement of Metsamor community and the secondary school in the Nor Kesaria settlement.

More than 1.7 billion drams have been allocated from the state budget for the construction of the educational complex. As a result of the implementation of the project, the Yeraskhahun settlement of the Metsamor community will have a new educational complex designed for 200 students and a preschool designed for 80 children.

The total cost of the construction of the secondary school in the Nor Kesaria settlement, designed for 432 students, amounted to more than 2.6 billion drams.

Congratulating on the opening of the educational complex, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Yeraskhahun settlement has never had a kindergarten. The Prime Minister noted with satisfaction that having such schools is already becoming a very common phenomenon. "I think that we must achieve a change in the norm, because even now, unfortunately, in many communities it is common that there is no kindergarten, no normal school, no normal roads. We must change the logic of that normality, and it should be normal that there is a good school, etc.,” the head of state noted, adding that living well should also be normal in the Republic of Armenia, for which the Government is making such large investments.

According to the Prime Minister, receiving education in educational institutions also contributes to the development of the state. “The state exists to the extent that there are citizens who are ready to stand up for that state, which means living in that country, working in that country, paying taxes in that country, creating and increasing the opportunities of that country, first of all, financial, economic. And here I would like to once again thank all the business entities working in the Republic of Armenia, creating results, paying taxes prescribed by law, and all those citizens who demand and receive a cash register receipt when making purchases.”

Addressing the students, Nikol Pashinyan noted: “It is also important to note that the people working in the Republic of Armenia, the Government and the state are investing in your future through this school, so that you will be more successful in your future life than today’s average citizen, earn more and pay more taxes, so that schools will be better in the future and your children will study in better conditions, have greater opportunities and live better.”At the opening ceremony of the school in New Caesarea, Nikol Pashinyan noted in his speech that a completely new environment has been formed in the settlement with the newly built school, which the Government is creating with a goal that is posted at the entrance to the school: “Study well, so that you live well.” The Prime Minister noted that school should be considered one of the most important and key symbols and tools of life. According to the head of state, children should be clearly conveyed this message that how they will live in the future largely depends on how they spend their time at school.

In the issue of having a developed state, the head of state emphasized the importance of school, receiving quality education. “Future council members, community leaders, regional governors, ministers, prime ministers, and so on are formed in schools. And it is here that many issues are resolved. It is here that it is decided whether we will have a state or not, and what kind of state that state will be. We are building the school as a guarantee of the survival of the Republic of Armenia.”

According to Nikol Pashinyan, by building such schools, the Government is creating opportunities not only to “get by,” but to live well in the future.

The last stop of the Head of State was the Talin community, where he got acquainted with the conditions of the newly built secondary school in the Garnahovit settlement. More than 1.2 billion drams were allocated from the state budget for construction work. As a result of the implementation of the project, a new two-story school building with a total area of ​​1,621 square meters and a capacity of 144 places was built, the yard was improved, and a 67-kilowatt photovoltaic station was installed.

Here, too, the Prime Minister congratulated everyone on the completion of the school construction and the start of work and emphasized that once again it can be said that the largest investment in its history has been made in the village. “We imagine that the school is a center, a point, an axis around which life should be recreated in Garnahovit,” said Nikol Pashinyan and expressed hope that the school will become the point where life in Garnahovit and nearby villages will be revived, reactivated, as well as become a platform for social contacts for the population.

“We are building schools that will not only give children, but also their parents, skills for living, optimism and energy not only for living, but for living well. And with this project, including “300 schools, 500 kindergartens” and “300 schools, 500 kindergartens”, we are turning the area of ​​despair into a state of life, where a person should live, where a person should live prosperously, freely and safely,” the head of state emphasized.

In his speech, the Prime Minister noted that the school is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure that schools in the center of Yerevan have. “Now, on the contrary, there may already be schools in the center that do not have some of these opportunities.”

Summing up his speech, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized: “Now life must constantly declare itself in Garnahovit, and in order for life to declare itself every day in Garnahovit, the people living in Garnahovit must declare themselves every day, and that declaration, be sure, will not remain without a response.”
