Samvel Karapetyan's message from the NSS isolation cell.

"Dear compatriots,

The events of yesterday and the past few days have come to prove my worst predictions.

The small group showed that they are ready to cross over every sacred thing in the truest sense of the word. In order to maintain their power, these people committed an act unprecedented in the entire history of the Armenian people, trying to hostilely break the order of the Armenian Apostolic Church and desecrate the Holy Liturgy with their interference. By doing so, these authorities “took a new step” on the path to national division, earning the condemnation and anger of all Armenians.

We can be sure that this small group will not stop at nothing to attack and discredit our most important national institution, our Mother See. However, they should know that we will continue to defend our values and sanctities just as we did centuries ago, did yesterday, and will do tomorrow. No deprivation can stop the course of our movement towards victory. No imprisonment can break the will of today's numerous political prisoners - His Holiness Michael, Bagrat, and Mkrtich, dozens of Gyumri residents, including Ruben Mkhitaryan, the Gyumri representative of the "Our Form" movement, and our other friends and colleagues - to live in Armenia, free from dictatorship and foreign influence, guided by true Christian values, with dignity restored, and prosperous citizens.

We will do it our way.
