The time will come, we will make a decision: Serzh Sargsyan on participating in the 2026 elections

Journalists were interested in the third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan: Nikol Pashinyan published a picture of a hammer with the words "steel mandate" written on it. Is this not a hint that the prisons will once again be filled with oppositionists before the elections?

"And now they are not full? There have never been so many political prisoners in the history of the Republic of Armenia. And if this continues, that number will naturally increase. How many times will we be afraid? Of course, there is fear, but what is the point of living in fear from morning to night?" said Serzh Sargsyan.

When asked if it is not possible to achieve a change of power through impeachment, will the Republican Party participate in the elections in 2026, Serzh Sargsyan replied:

"Let's see, the time will come, we will make the decision."
