The work of both the government and the Investigative Committee will never be flawless; that is out of the question: Pashinyan.

The work of the government, the ministries, or the Investigative Committee will never be flawless; that is simply out of the question. The issue is not about perfection; the issue lies in the extent to which we are committed to justice. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this today, October 8, in his address at the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Day of the Investigative Committee Employee.
He noted, in particular: "We truly need to change the perception that exists in our reality—and much has not changed in this regard even after 2018—where the strength of one's social standing is directly proportional to their access to justice and fairness. As a state, we must pay special attention to the rights of individuals who face limitations in defending their own rights. And such situations do indeed exist." "Yes, we cannot make distinctions between people, but I fear we sometimes face situations where some possess vast financial resources and can engage major defense teams, while others lack this opportunity; yet, the latter must feel the state's protection and should not consider themselves deprived of fairness and justice. The Investigative Committee bears a great responsibility in this regard—one that will only continue to grow." Pashinyan noted that when an incident from 20 or 25 years ago is solved, it raises public expectations; others involved in similar cases—cases they believe were not resolved fairly—will naturally want their own matters to be solved as well.
The Prime Minister also spoke about social guarantees for Investigative Committee employees. "We are striving to ensure that investigators and employees of the Investigative Committee have the most reliable system of social guarantees possible. And, of course, we will continue this policy. However, we must also understand that these two processes are deeply interconnected; ultimately, the capabilities of the Republic of Armenia and the state budget depend on the work of the Investigative Committee. I am referring not only to the recovery of damages in specific criminal cases but also to the fact that, for economic activity, it is crucial for potential investors to know that, should issues arise, they can protect their rights and operate under conditions of fair competition with their rivals," he emphasized.
