At the center of the beating and stampede that took place in the National Assembly, he was one of the most active beaters, striking opposition MP Gegham Manukyan. Let's remember who Aren Mkrtchyan was before becoming a revolutionary MP.

Mkrtchyan, who never had a brilliant biography, became an assistant to the Prime Minister of Armenia in 2018. From 2011 to 2016 , he was the editor of the sports sections of the news website " 1in.am " and the daily newspaper "Zhamanak".

In 2016-2018 , he was a scriptwriter for the political-publicistic program "SOS", and in 2017-2018 , he was a political-satire program "K1". He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2019.

Like all CP members, Mkrtchyan has also had property advancements over the years.
