"Zhoghovurd": Who was the person who fled from the car of the brother of the Armenian Ambassador to the US, Narek Mkrtchyan? What is the connection between them?

The “Zhoghovurd” daily writes: “According to information from the “Zhoghovurd” daily, the National Security Service was involved in the recruitment process in Parakar all day yesterday.

Operative information has been received regarding the drug and illegal weapons case involving the brother of the Armenian Ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, which was quite remarkable.

Essentially, they are trying to understand what connection there is between Narek Mkrtchyan's brother, Mkrtich Mkrtchyan, and the person in his car.

According to information received by the "Zhoghovurd" daily, it turned out that the person who fled from Mkrtich Mkrtchyan's car was Hrant Sargsyan, a resident of Parakar, whom law enforcement officers were still searching for yesterday evening, at 10:00 PM.

And the brother of the Armenian ambassador to the US insisted to law enforcement that the weapons and drugs found were not his, but belonged to the person in his car.

Let us remind you that yesterday it became known that Mkrtich Mkrtchyan, the brother of the newly appointed Armenian Ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, was arrested.

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia informed ArmLur.am that criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 335 of the Criminal Code (illegal trafficking of firearms, their main components, ammunition and other materials, devices, objects), Part 1 of Article 393 (illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their preparations or their equivalents (analogues) for the purpose of sale or illegal sale of them) and Part 1 of Article 396 (illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their preparations or their equivalents (analogues) or precursors without the purpose of sale).

"One person has been arrested. An investigation is underway."
