Azerbaijan and Armenia will sign a memorandum of understanding in Washington on Friday, committing to pursuing peace, Middle East Eye reported, citing regional sources.
Sources reported that US President Donald Trump will host Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the White House to participate in the signing ceremony.
The sources added that the two leaders will sign a "letter of intent," rather than a draft peace agreement. That would provide Trump with a diplomatic victory.
