In the second half, in the 67th minute, Yamal extended the Catalans' lead further by scoring from a pass by Gabriel Jesus. In the 81st minute, Anthony Gordon converted a pass from Rodri, and shortly thereafter, opposing forward Mariano Díaz set the final score at 6–1.
Following this match, Barcelona leads the league table with 30 points, while Alavés sits in 10th place with 12 points.
