Hovik Abrahamyan's son, Gagik Tsarukyan's son-in-law, arrested on charges of ordering murder

According to NEWS.am, Argam Abrahamyan, the son of former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, has been arrested.
He is the son-in-law of Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee reported that as a result of the preliminary investigation conducted in the criminal proceedings of the Serious Crimes Investigation Department of the Yerevan City Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, as well as as a result of operational-investigative measures carried out by the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, apparent factual data was obtained that the murder of S.V., committed at the entrance to one of the buildings on Myasnikyan Avenue in Yerevan on April 30, 2023, was ordered by the former head of the Artashat community, former deputy of the National Assembly A.A.
In particular, as a result of planned, comprehensive evidentiary and procedural actions, it was revealed that A.A., suspecting his wife, E.Ts., of having a personal relationship with the spiritual pastor S.V., a member of the “Gospel Faith Christians” religious organization, as well as of giving him large sums of money, intended to take S.V.’s life out of revenge, but decided to carry out his criminal intent not personally, but through a loyal person who was financially and personally dependent on him, his security guard G.H.
Then, A.A., using his influence over G.H., as well as the latter’s loyalty and willingness to give him orders, incited him to take S.V.’s life.
Taking the assignment given by A.A. as an order, G.H. killed S.V. with a firearm in front of a residential building located at 2 Myasnikyan Street in Yerevan on April 30, 2023.
During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings, based on the investigator's motion, by the decision of the supervising prosecutor, public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.A. under Article 46-155, Part 2, Point 11 of the Criminal Code (incitement to commit murder by order).
On August 8, 2026, based on the investigator's decision, A.A. was arrested by the RA NSS officers with the aim of presenting him to court for the purpose of applying detention as a preventive measure.
